I would like to thank the U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity for recognizing my determination throughout the application process, to be deemed worthy of being a part of this brotherhood and to be welcomed to the fold.

I was introduced to the U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity by Brod Tyrone Balaguer, through him I found out what it had to offer, and how it could help me. What initially caught my attention was the leadership training I could also participate in once I became a part of the fraternity. I recognized my own need to improve in this area, as I lacked exposure to leadership roles and responsibilities. This made me even more eager to take on the challenge and develop myself further.

Beyond that, what truly convinced me to push through with the application process and join the U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity is what it stood for. Learning about its values, principles, and the very doctrine of the fraternity hooked me. It made me realize that within this brotherhood, I would be among individuals who not only share the same ideals, but people who strive not just for personal growth, but for something greater.

I never expected myself to join a fraternity, especially with the common stereotypes surrounding it—that it is dangerous, degrading, or associated with hazing. But those misconceptions were debunked once I was invited by Brod Rusty San Miguel to attend the orientation. From the very beginning, I was treated with respect, and I felt that respect throughout the process. While I did hear some brods remark that the process seemed easier for us and that we were “lucky,” I understood that bridging the gap of equality lies not in the hardships endured but in learning the fraternity’s doctrines, values, and principles with due respect.

I am deeply grateful to the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity for pushing me to strive for growth, to aim higher in life, and to never set limits upon myself. As our Grand Princep said, “We are limitless.” The only boundaries we face are those we impose on ourselves. Where we fall short, the fraternity guides us in becoming stronger individuals.

Beyond that, joining the fraternity is not just a privilege—it is a responsibility. To bear its name is to commit oneself to its success. While challenges will come, I am more than willing to give my all whenever the fraternity needs me. It is, after all, a relationship of both giving and taking.

Contributing to the fraternity’s success is not measured merely by the project proposal I presented during the final rites. What truly matters is showing up. From that very presentation, I realized that what I can offer to the fraternity is something it does not yet have—myself. And I am more than willing to give that, wholeheartedly, to the fraternity.

I am Ralph Daniel A. Advincula, a proud member of the newest batch of our fraternity, Batch ’25 C – Executives. I joined our fraternity because I strongly believe in the value of building lasting connections and being part of a true brotherhood—one that supports, uplifts, and grows together both personally and professionally. These are values I hold close, and I knew this fraternity would provide not only lifelong friendships but also opportunities for learning and meaningful collaboration.

I believe I can contribute to the fraternity’s success by actively engaging in our projects, upholding our core values from our doctrine, and fostering unity among members. I aim to bring fresh perspectives and energy to our initiatives while maintaining the discipline, respect, and commitment that our fraternity stands for. Through teamwork, service, and leadership, I hope to help strengthen our reputation both within the university and in the community.

I am Kyle Kristian Ramos, BS Civil engineering student. I am from Caloocan City and currently a senior here in the university. At first, my close friends, Brod Kimbert (24H) and Brod Hanz (24G) invited me to the orientation. I was hesitant at first because I really don't have any plans in joining any other affiliations but when I attended the orientation I was instantly hooked and intrigued. The brods who were present were really nice and friendly. That is why I decided to join the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity.

One way I can think on how I can make our frat succeed is to use my experience as the past Vice President of my academic org to further help with the events especially with the planning and the execution.
