MESSAGES

I just talked to Sis Emma Cariņo and she confirmed that Brod Butch Cariņo died yesterday. She just arrived from the Philippines
and she would be flying back for the funeral. Their other kids are now on their way to the Philippines.

Please pray for the eternal repose of his soul and may the bereaved family find comfort and consolation through the graces that
God has bestowed on them.

Thank you and God bless!!!

Am deeply saddened that close brods to me during my time are dying one by one. Brods like Romy Acosta, Jun G., Willie M, Jess B., Rene Puga, now Brod Butch - all Pillars of the 70 's. Marami nang ka jug ng mga nauna sa itaas

Brod Butch is an exemplary Betan. Good-looking yet humble a folk singer and front liner during rumbles. Remember Cariņo pad? Lots of happenings at his place. Rest in Peace Brother. Too bad I have not seen you during my last vacation. Komusta na lang mga Brods na madatnan mo sa taas.

Brod Butch Cariņo is a well known brod.
Well loved by the sisters...
well liked by the brods...
gentle to the brods...
ferocious in rumbles...
hated by the enemies...
respected by his co-workers...
well loved by his family and friends.
We will miss a very dear brod.
May his soul rest in peace.

Deepest condolence to the family of my ka-probinsiya. Brod Nestor "Butch" Farinas-Cariņo hails from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.
We always have a special heart for our front-liners.

I learned from another kababayan that Butch was 62 years old at the time of his death.

Brod Butch Farinas-Cariņo is a Brod, a distant relative (my mother's maiden name was Macaria Farinas-Tolentino),
and a classmate from elementary to college . We called him "American boy" during our school days in Magsingal but
actually he has Spanish blood. May his soul rest in peace.

Nakakalungkot.
Brod Butch is one Forestry brod close to Aggie brods.

Paalam brod.

Beta Sigma emerged the undisputed champion of the UPLB "TUG-OF-WAR"against bigger and stronger opponents
because of Butch's "HEAVE-HO"technique. The competition was witnessed by all the girls at Women's Dorm.

HINDI BALI MAYABANG MERON NAMAN IPAGYAYABANG... these are the words of Butch..
Brod Butch made history in 1974.

Sad to hear that Butch Cariņo passed away. He was one brod that I could always connect in our college year.
Especially at woman's dorm. Good bye bro. And condolence to your love ones.

This one really hit close to home. It's always sad when we lose a Brod, but, it's worse when he's one of your contemporaries
because of all the memories. Yes, it was the '70s. I was there with Brod Butch Carino. We were indestructible (we all thought).
Butch was one of the prominent resident brods of our time -- from official frat functions, at social events, in jug-a- lugs, to one of
the frat's poster boys in the Women's dorm. Brod Butch made his mark in the fraternity and I'm fortunate I was there to witness it.
As they say, Brod see you on the flip side.

My condolences to the Cariņo family.
